OpenSpeech Recognizer includes several tools to aid with the development and maintenance of speech recognition grammars:
Parse Tool: OSR includes a command line tool that allows grammars to be tested, either by checking coverage of specific phrases or by generating random allowable phrases.
Grammar Compiler: OSR includes a tool that allows grammars to be compiled offline. Although OSR will compile any grammar as needed, very large grammars are often precompiled to conserve runtime system resources.
Grammar Converter: OSR includes a tool that can convert various grammar formats (including ABNF, SpeechWorks 6.x formats, and GSL) into the standard SRGS format accepted by OSR.
